Flash Gordon Movie Gets Writers

According to Filmstalker, two writers have been assigned to Sony’s new Flash Gordon movie.

Sony Ponies Up For Spider-Man 4

In Marvel’s August 5th conference call about their second quarter earnings they mentioned that Sony have already paid them an advance of $5 million on Spider-Man 4. So I think that ends whatever speculation might have been left about whether there would be another Spider-Man movie. That May 2011 date is looking more and more likely.

Padmé Star Wars Fan Movie

At the San Diego Comic-Con, the Star Wars spoof Padmé won the George Lucas Selects Award beating out forty other finalists.

Iron Man DVD Release Date September 30th, 2008

It seems that the DVD release of Iron Man (starring Robert Downey Jr.) will be September 30th 2008. The movie will be released on both DVD and Blu-ray Disc.
