The Sci Fi Channel has officially announced the new seasons for its original series Stargate: Atlantis, Stargate SG-1 and Battlestar Galactica. New episodes of the hit series will premiere on July 15th with the return of Sci Fi Fridays.
Stargate SG-1 is back for its ninth season with two new cast members (Ben Browder and Beau Bridges) in addition to Claudia Black and Lou Gossett Jr in recurring roles. Bridges will also appear in 7 episodes of Stargate: Atlantis' second season. Battlestar Galactica will also return for a second season with the entire cast returning. Executive producer and writer Ronald D. Moore remains at the helm.
A new block of original shows starts on Wednesday July 27th with new reality series Master Blasters which pits crews of amateur rocket scientists against Sci Fi's own team. This is followed at 9pm by the returning Ghost Hunters and at 10pm by Tripping the Rift.
