Star Wars Episode III - Revenge of the Sith arrives on DVD on November 1st 2005. The DVD release was developed by the same team that produced the previous Star Wars DVDs. As well as offering the Revenge of the Sith movie itself, the Episode III DVD release also contains a second disc with additional features.
Disc one features Episode III - Revenge of the Sith itself in a high quality digital transfer from the original source material. As with previous Star Wars DVD release, the animated menus are taken from scenes in Revenge of the Sith itself. Audio is available in Dolby Digital Surround 5.1 EX and several audio commentary tracks have been included from George Lucas, Producer Rick McCallum, Visual Effects Supervisors John Knoll and Roger Guyett and Animation Director Rob Coleman.
Disc 2 offers a plethora of extras anchored by a 78 minute documentary called Within a Minute which looks at everything involved in a 49 second sequence from the Mustafar lightsaber duel. There are two other documentaries on the disc. The Chosen One is a 14 minute look at Anakin Skywalker. Its All For Real is an 11 minute documentary about Stunt Coordinator and Sword Master Nick Gillard.
The disc also features the best 15 chapters from the web documentary series Making Episode III.
